Tish and Snooky Bellomo opened Manic Panic on St Mark's Place in 1977, the first New York store dedicated to punk fashion and hair color. They mixed the original cream-base dye themselves, because no one was making colors loud enough for the scene around CBGB. That recipe has been in continuous production since 1977.
That same cream-base dye is what we ship out of Hong Kong. Not reformulated. Not via a third-party stockist. Manic Panic HK imports every bottle from Tish and Snooky's NYC operation directly, and SF Express delivers within 1–2 business days.

Manic Panic is a semi-permanent, deposit-only dye in a conditioning cream base. It doesn't bleach hair or alter its structure. The color coats the strand and washes out over 4–6 weeks, longer on darker shades. Vegan since 1977, PETA-certified, no PPD, no peroxide, no ammonia.
